Abstract

Key Features: Innate immunity is nonspecific and required to combat infections. Adaptive immunity regulates antigen-specific responses. Langerhans cells are important antigen-presenting cells of the epidermis. Keratinocytes control skin immunity via production of mediators. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
