Abstract

PO antibiotics appear to be as effective as initial IV antibiotics for UTIs in children older than one month of age with no known structural urological abnormality. Therefore, clinicians should consider PO antibiotics for these children who are nontoxic and have close parental and follow-up care. ©2010 Pulsus Group Inc. All rights reserved.
