Abstract

This chapter summarizes briefly different forms of scientific misconduct in the context of publications. Explicitly the following topics are addressed: Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, multiple submission, redundant publication and disputed authorship. The chapter concludes with possible consequences which someone may face in the case of thesis writing or other scientific publications.
