Abstract

Carbon fiber reinforced plastic has excellent material characteristics in specific strength, rigidity, wear resistance, fatigue resist property, thermal resistance features and anti-corrosion ability. Carbon fiber reinforced plastic needs secondary operation in order to unite with other material part. Mainly drilling process is used for making a hole to fasten the bolt. However, the interlayer delamination is generated in the entrance and exit zone when drilling. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
