Abstract

Objective. This study aims to discuss the Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivityand verify the performance of Hippotherapy in these patients in the school environment. Method. This is a literature review based on literature through consultations through scientific research in PubMed, LILACS and SciELO articles. Results. ADDH is understood as a neuropsychiatric disorder that results in behavioral disorders, is revealed by signs of hyperactivity, disturbance in attention or concentration, impulsivity and restlessness that manifests itself in at least two environments. Reaches about 7 % of children, especially males. Have several comorbidities, being considered a public health problem. The Hippotherapy is a therapeutic method that uses the horse as kinesiotherapeutic feature, making use of three-dimensional motion and step to rehabilitation. Conclusion. The hippotherapy acts as facilitator of pedagogical practice, it has been observed that it decreases anxiety, enhances concentration and attention, instils essential standards and limits in the school environment.
