This study aims to analyze and classify students’ errors when solving probability problem. The subject of the study is 38 students of class X MIA 3 of State Senior High School of 1 Tanjungpinang. The instrument used is written test containing 5 questions that ask students to elaborate their answer and strategy. The instrument is validated together by researchers and mathematics teacher of class X MIA 3. Errors analyzed are categorized by using Watson’s error categorization including: inappropriate data/id, inappropriate procedure/ip, omitted data.od, omitted conclusion/oc, response level conflict/rlc, undirected manipulation/um, skills hierarchy problem/shp, and other than those categorized as the eight error. Result showcases that inappropriate data error appears 14.43%, inappropriate data 12.08%, omitted data 19.13%, omitted conclusion 21.14%, response level concflict 1.34%, undirected manipulation 12.75%, and skills hierarchy problem 19.13%.
