Abstract

Recent progress of integration of new technologies in physics education has become very interesting for students, educators and researchers. It allows students to understand the physics phenomena, collect data during experiments, develop their imagination and motivate them in classroom practices. Indeed, the Arduino microcontroller board becomes nowadays one of the principal tools used in learning and teaching physics. It is an open source electronic platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software which allows collecting experimental data and visualizing them on a computer or a Smartphone. In this paper, we have developed a low-cost experiment by using an Arduino-based platform to facilitate the study of Photoresistor Cell Current-Voltage Characteristic. We have found an excellent agreement between the data measurement using our platform and those obtained by the classical experiment. The results obtained show the experimental importance of our Arduino based platform as a tool in educational practices.
