Empathy is the ability to put yourself in the place of another individual and interpret reality from their point of view. This study focused on analyzing the differences between practitioners of team sports and individual sports and between men and women in empathy. The sample consisted of 97 federated adolescents at least for the second year, of which 43 were women and 54 were men. 25 practiced individual sports and 72 team sports. The results obtained on the Baron-Cohen –EQ– empathy scale have shown that team sports practitioners are more empathic than participants in individual sports and that women are more empathic than men. However, additional studies would be needed and it would be advisable to be cautious with the results due to the characteristics of the study and the sample.
