Abstract

In this paper, a new method for calibration of the structured light system is presented. Three code words, i.e. red green and blue squares, are used to create the M-array pattern image. Then the color calibration is conducted to deal with the color crosstalk. The color correction can make the decoding process more robust. After that, the camera is calibrated and the 3D corresponding points are also computed using the calibrated camera. Finally, the projector calibration is carried out. The experiment results on our structured light system show that our method is correct and precise. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
