Abstract

Automobile event data recorders (EDRs) provide vital information for reconstructing traffic crashes. This paper examines the primary issues related to evidence recovery from EDRs and its use in crash reconstruction. Recommendations related to the use of EDR data in court proceedings are also presented. © 2008 International Federation for Information Processing.
