Abstract

In mobile computing, a periodic broadcast of frequently re­quested data can reduce the workload of up-link channel, decreasing the energy consumption dramatically. Many indexing and scheduling tech­niques have been considered for wireless data broadcast. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for the Optimal Index and Data Allo­cation problem, which minimizes the access latency.
