Abstract

We live in the modern world, where technologies evolve very fast. However, very few people know that many of the technologies widely used nowadays firstly were developed for military purposes. One of such technologies, positioning system (global positioning system (GPS)), was chosen as the main topic of this research. Nevertheless, in indoor environments where GPS signals are blocked by walls and ceilings, extra equipment may be required for such purposes. Thus, special attention was paid to indoor positioning in this study. The model was verified by comparing it with the accelerometer values of function filtered by discrete Fourier transform. At last, the advised step positioning technique is determined through real set test data. The given results validate the practical and efficiency of the proposed method.
