Abstract

The interaction between mobile devices and physical objects in the real world is becoming increasingly important as people can utilize available services in a more natural and intuitive way, for example, moving an object closer to a device that triggers the service. In order to realize these developments it is necessary to use the benefits offered by the latest technologies (RFID, WiFi, Web Service, etc). This article describes an interactive system and its infrastructure based on games for stimulating cognitive abilities using Internet of Things designed to facilitate the human-computer interaction. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
