Abstract

The structure of a new organotin(IV) complex with formula [4-NH3C6H4-NO2]+2[Sn(CH3)2Cl4]2- is reported. This crystal belongs to space group P21/c with cell dimensions a = 7.8026(4)Å, b = 20.8627(11)Å, c = 6.8990(4)Å, β = 111.4560(10)°; the final R value is 0.0291. This compound exists as a three-dimensional polymer produced by intermolecular N-H···Cl and N-H···O hydrogen bonds. Also, weak C-H···O and C-H···Cl hydrogen bonds were observed in the crystal lattice. 2005 © The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry.
