Abstract

Semantic Web is the next generation of web technology, it provides a representation of metadata and information which can be processed by computer software. This paper presents an outline of ontology-based knowledge representation on the Web by using RDF(S). The extension of RDF(S) specification was also introduced to enhance the ability of domain knowledge expression. By using four meta sets including the basic RDF(S), Dublin core, axioms and property constraint, a general domain knowledge can be stored as RDF(S) documents on the Web and be processed by XML enabled application.
