Abstract

In our previous work, we have demonstrated that evolution can be used to program liquid crystal to act as a signal processing device. In this work we discuss the stability and reconfigurability of a real time robot controller evolved in liquid crystal. We envisage these issues will be important when programming or evolving in other physical systems. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
