Abstract

This chapter discusses the Module on Parenting Education, which has the following objectives: 1. Enrich marital relationship skills with reference to what is marriage, awareness of attachment with parents in infancy and relationship skills as applied to marital relationship skills; 2. Assertive parenting skills with reference to self-identity as parents, assertive parenting style, appreciation for child’s play, assertive communication with the child, developing child’s life skills and positive disciplining of the child; and 3. Age-appropriate development tasks and interventions needed in infancy, toddlerhood, preschoolage, middle childhood and adolescence.
