Abstract

This study was determined the effect of adding papaya seed meal on quail performances. A total of 168 75-days-old quail were randomly assigned to four treatments with six replications with seven birds on each replications. The experimental treatments were diet contain 0%, 0.25%, 0.5% and 1% papaya seed meal. The experimental diet were given for four weeks. Parameters were feed intake, total production, henday production, egg weight and feed conversion. The data was analysed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). We found that adding papaya seed meal significantly decrease feed intake, total production and henday production (P<0.05). However, adding papaya seed meal was unaffected egg weight and feed conversion.
