Abstract

Teenagers scarifications are a way to fight symbolically against suffering impregnating their lives. They are paradoxical remedies enabling the individual to get out from the distress he feels. Of course, it is sometimes necessary for him (her) to do it again as long as circumstances giving rise to suffering continue. They are a way to cutting short the flood of suffering.
