A theoretical, the numerical and experimental analysis is carried out to study on structural analysis of fillet type welded joint used in structural supports for pipes in offshore industries. Firstly the model is modeled in Proe-E modeling software. Then by referring the standards, the theoretical studies are carried out than by using finite element method (FEM) the finite element analysis is carried out and finally to validate all these analyses the Experimental stress analysis of the welded joint based on the electric resistance strain gauge technique has been performed. All the results are compared with the help of graph. This study is useful in appropriate selection of fillet weld size in case of structural support in offshore industries.
