Abstract

Withiodineadsorptionvalue,methyleneblueadsorptionvalue,andyieldasanalyzingindexesofactivatedcarbon preparedfrom furfuralresidue ,fourfactorshadbeenchosentoperform L 16 (4 )orthogonalexperimentincludingimpregnation ratio,phosphoricacidconcentration,activationtemperatureandholdingtimetooptimizethepreparationconditionsofphosphoric acidactivation.Theconclusioncouldbedrawnfrom theorthogonalexperimentthattheoptimaltechnologicalconditionswere phosphoricacidconcentration60% ,impregnationratio2.5∶1,activationtemperature550℃,andholdingtime1.5h.Underthese 5 conditions ,theiodineadsorptionvalueoftheobtainedactivatedcarbonwas839.6mg/g,themethyleneblueadsorptionvaluewas 260.3mg/g,theyieldwas46.8%,andthespecificsurfaceareawas830.20m /g.
