Abstract

Professional skills (hard-skills) obtained by graduate students quickly become obsolete in the digital economy. In order to remain competitive in today’s dynamically changing labour market, students need to develop “soft” or “flexible” skills at the appropriate level, which are cross-sectional and also enable them to participate successfully in a workflow process in various subject areas. The article deals with classical and modern cognitive technologies that help to form systematic and critical thinking skills as a universal competence of professionals, which come to the forefront with the advent of the digital economy.
