Abstract

A pre-coGsbustor diffuser, suitable for outboard annular combustors has been successfully demonstrated. The diffuser, which incorporates a 180 degree bend and practicalities such as support struts, was shown to produce a pressure recovery and flow stability which would be superior to mast inline annular diffusers. Guidelines for the design of such diffusers are discussed.
