Abstract

The paper addresses reflection of microintonation in male and female acted emotional speech. Microintonation component of speech melody is analyzed regarding its spectral and statistical parameters. Achieved statistical results of microintonation analysis show good correlation comparing male and female voices for four emotional states (joy, sadness, anger, neutral state) portrayed by several professional actors. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
