Abstract

Use of ultrasound has increased exponentially in recent times in management of acutely unwell patients. This holds true for musculoskeletal pathology as well. In this chapter we will discuss the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as fractures, joint effusion or haemarthrosis, foreign bodies and soft tissue infection.
