Abstract

Based on field work we extend the known distribution of Cerrophidion petlalcalensis, an endemic pitviper from Mexico whose distribution was underestimated for many years. We report this species from Oaxaca for the first time, and we discuss natural history data and potential distribution of the specie based on our observations. Finally we discuss potential conservation actions for this species.
