Abstract

The concepts of mindfulness and acceptance have become ubiquitous in behavioral health intervention and prevention efforts and these approaches have demonstrated efficacy in addressing a wide range of psychological disorders and psychological symptoms associated with medical issues. Generally speaking, mindfulness-based approaches incorporate meditation practices (often formal sitting practices as well as others) to help people to bring then awareness back, again and again, to this moment in order to be choice fully present in their lives.
