Abstract

Emphasises the need for interdisciplinary interaction not just in respect of climatic change, but also in relation to other pressing problems, including the possibility of nuclear war. By challenging the value of social science research on climate change, the author demonstrates how such research should help scientists to improve their ability generally to deal with global problems. -after Editor
