Abstract

Turbocharged gasoline engine can effectively improve engine performance, but it is more easy to lead to deflagration and other abnormal combustion phenomenon. In this paper, flow field in the cylinder of gasoline engine before and after being turbocharged is simulated instantaneously by numerical simulation. The results show that when the gasoline engine is turbocharged, the air flow in the cylinder is unchanged, which provide the visualization of the reason for deflagration of turbocharged gasoline engine. And the results provide the theoretical reference for the design and improvement of turbocharged gasoline engine. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
