Abstract

As a young girl in the 1970s, I heard all about "superwomen." These were not women flying around in capes and tights, but they seemed just as powerful to me. Superwomen were so talented that they could have both a family and a career. No longer were young women expected to stay home with their children, nor forego children to pursue a career. It was now possible to 'have it all,' and I intended to do just that.
