Anoplasty for anal stenosis is performed when a symptomatic fibrotic stricture of the anal canal does not respond to stool management or simple dilatation. This chapter describes the operative techniques for an anorectal stricture, specifically a mucosal flap and an anocutaneous advancement flap. It further details the indications, preoperative preparation, pitfalls and danger points, postoperative care, and complications of the procedure.
