Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is widely known to be a major risk factor for the increased incidence of heart coronary disease. High cholesterol in the blood stream has tendency to form atherosclerotic plaques in the walls of blood vessels. In pathological conditions, this plaque formation will initiate the formation of fragile atheroma which lead to the formation of thrombus clots. This thrombus will clog the coronary arteries to the heart so that the heart muscles deprive oxygen and appear as a heart infarction in electrocardio graphic (ECG). Although heart infarction has been known to give a typical ECG picture such as ST elevation and ST depression, however no studies report direct relationship between ST segment changes and the occurrence of hypercholesterolemia in heart patients. Objectives: To determine effect of hypercholesterolemia with ST segment deviation. Method: The design of study was observational descriptive analitic. The sample was obtained through primary and secondary data with accidental sampling technique. The period of 31 th August-10 th November 2018. Results: based on fisher's exact test with p value=0,002. There is effect of hypercholesterolemia with ST segment deviation. Discussion: The high cholesterol or hypercholesterolemia is very influential in healthy of heart. It can changes wave at ST segment. ST segment deviation is indication of infarction or ischemic that is one of sign of health disease. at the beginning of pregnancy and routine ANC examination is very necessary.
