Abstract

Network core layer has come true by high-speed data transmitted of three layer switches between the router of VLAN in big network. Routers and three layer switches are key equipments in the network. When network plan is designed, redundancy backup of these key equipments must be accomplished to improve network reliability and stability. How to realize network routing redundancy and load balancing by the HSRP technique is particularly described in this article. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
