Abstract

<p align="center"><strong><em>A</em></strong><strong><em>bstract</em></strong></p><p align="center"><em> </em></p><p><em>Improving public sevice can be ach</em><em>i</em><em>eved by having employees who have high organizational commitment. </em><em>The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of leadership</em><em> style</em><em> and work motivation to organizational commitment on employee of maritime affairs and fisheries education center. The effects were directed to diffrerentiate between transactional &amp; transformational leadership. </em><em>The sample in this reseach consist of 35 employee of maritime affairs an fisheries education center. The sampling used purposive sampling, data collection methods with questionaires. </em><em>The data was processed by using Smart PLS with relation of reflective indicator at 95% confidence level. The result shows that the leadership is not significant enough to </em><em>e</em><em>ffect the organizational commitment. Leadership has significantly </em><em>e</em><em>ffect on work motivation, while work motivation has significantly </em><em>e</em><em>ffect </em><em>on </em><em>organizational commitment.</em><em></em></p><p align="center"> </p><p align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p>Meningkatkan pelayanan publik dapat dicapai dengan memiliki karyawan yang memiliki komitmen organisasional tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh  gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap komitmen organisasional pegawai pusat pendidikan kelautan dan perikanan. Efeknya diarahkan untuk membedakan antara kepemimpinan transaksional &amp; transformasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 35 pegawai pusat pendidikan kelautan dan perikanan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan <em>purposive sampling</em> dan metode pengumpulan data dengan kuisioner. Data diolah dengan menggunakan Smart PLS dengan relasi indikator reflektif pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan tidak signifikan untuk mempengaruhi komitmen organisasi. Kepemimpinan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja, sementara motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi.</p>
