By using first principles molecular dynamics, we study postperovskite phase transition of MgSiO3, which has important meanings in earth science, and its analogue materials, MgGeO3 and CdGeO3. We try to understand the mechanism and conditions of postperovskite phase transition. © 2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.
