Abstract

Many strategies have been adopted for improving the thermoelectric properties of oxides, and rapid progress in the enhancement of the thermoelectric performance of oxides has been achieved in the past several decades. In this paper, n-type perovskite oxides are reviewed as one type of promising thermoelectric ceramic. Combining previous work on thermoelectric oxides, the enhancement of the thermoelectric performance for SrTiO3-based and CaMnO3-based ceramics by single/multi-doping, microstructure controlling, nanostructuring, nanocomposite fabrication, defect chemistry engineering, and so on, are analyzed and reviewed.
