Abstract

With the universal existence of non-uniform environment in the living space, the study of thermal comfort in the non-uniform environment has become a hot topic in the research field. Likewise, there are heat source and external window in domestic kitchen, where the thermal environment in kitchen is always not uniform. Occupants in the kitchen will feel uncomfortable, which may affect occupant's health and influence the cooking thermal sensation. Therefore, it is necessary to study the thermal comfort in domestic kitchen. A review of the thermal comfort studies in non-uniform thermal environment was carried out. Moreover, a study about the thermal comfort under winter condition in a domestic kitchen which is located in Nanjing Tech University was conducted. The thermal environment characteristics in the kitchen and the thermal comfort law of people were obtained. Meanwhile, the corresponding improvement measures for domestic kitchen thermal environment under winter condition are put forward.
