Hey all,

I am a Neurological researcher at Penn's Movement Disorders Institute. I am also a mendeley advisor and would love to work with people to get the word out about mendeley at penn so we can streamline research at penn.

Ah, sorry. In reference to Tom's post below, I just realized that the group was filed in Biological Sciences (presumably because that's my discipline). Andrew, if you're following this can you suggest a way to move the group to a more general category, or is that not possible?

Shane Heiney Thanks. I basically just copied their description from JHU. Hope that's OK. I also added Chemistry and Materials Science as the 2nd and 3rd disciplines since at the moment those are the disciplines that are most represented among the group members.

Hi all,

Thank you for joining the group. I just moved to Penn so I'm still getting settled in, but I'm curious about what kind of Mendeley outreach is going on around campus. For instance, have there been any workshops? Are any of the librarians on board?
Tom Gordon
Tom Gordon Hi Shane, I am in the chemistry department, and our librarian (Judith) has done several workshops which cover several of the citation managers out there. I have mentioned to her about getting involved with promoting Mendeley through this type of workshop, I think we could make something happen...

I'm not actually a biological scientist, but am here to support UPenn Mendeleyers. Thanks for starting this Shane.

Shane Heiney Hi Tom! No need to be a biologist. The more disciplines we have represented in this group the better.
