Abstract

It would appear that, stage-for-stage, the cure rate has not improved in the treatment of carcinoma of the cervix in the last four decades. However, the overall survival rate has improved, and this has been due to the number of cases that have been diagnosed at an earlier stage. It is obvious that new methods must be explored for the treatment of carcinoma of the cervix. © 1988 Baillière Tindall. All rights reserved.
