Abstract

RuBPCase from peas showed Ribose-5-phosphate and Ribulose-5-phosphate dependent CO2 fixation when purified on sucrose gradients or by conventional methods. If purification was done in the presence of 20 mM MgCl2 and 20-25 mM NaHCO3 RuBPCase showed higher Ribose-5-phosphate and Ribulose-5-phosphate dependent CO2 fixation rates. Partially purified phosphoriboisomerase, phosphoribulokinase and RuBPCase from spinach could be reassociated in vitro. © 1986 Academic Press, Inc.
