Abstract
The synthesis and characterisation are described of homochiral (+)-4- carboxy-13-amino-[2.2]paracyclophane and (+)-4-carboxy-12-amino- [2.2]paracyclophane, which are unique, linearly chiral amino-acids which may act as β-turn mimics.
