Abstract

A comparison of the conjugate-gradient and minimum-residual algorithms for inverting Wilson Fermion propagators was made using various preconditioning techniques for several different couplings and lattice sizes. The main result is that the Oyanagi Hyperplane ILU minimum-residual is the algorithm requiring the least arithmetic even in regions close to κcritical. © 1990.
