Abstract

Footshock induced analgesia in mice was significantly enhanced by adrenalectomy. This effect of pituitary-adrenal axis disruption was reversed by dexamethasone. Involvement of pituitary factor(s) in producing this form of stress induced analgesia in mice is suggested. © 1983.
