Abstract

Excitation transfer processes have been studied in electron-beam pumped binary Ar-POPOP and ternary ArN2POPOP mixtures. Fluorescence measurements have shown that the major POPOP dye vapor excitation source is the ionic species Ar+2. A previously unreported quenching reaction by N2 in the ArN2 system has been discovered. © 1979.
