Abstract

Contactless card technology in the UK is in its early phases of development, but recently it has gained widespread media attention and will become increasingly important for banks and retailers alike. Contactless cards are a new generation of payment cards whereby customers can make small purchases without cash by tapping or waving their card over a scanner. © 2007 Elsevier Ltd.
