Abstract

A brief account is given of the application of imaging detector technologies developed for cosmic X-ray astronomy in a number of other fields, including beta autoradiography, thermal neutron imaging and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, both in a planetary and a laboratory context. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
