Abstract

Interaction between poly(styrene-alt-maleic acid) sodium salt and hydrating Portland cement has been studied with the help of X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimeter, scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectral studies. The results have shown that poly(styrene-alt-maleic acid) sodium salt definitely interacts with Portland cements. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
