Abstract

Cerium trichloride, as well as some other lanthanide salts, promote the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of triethylaluminum with bromoarenes. The lanthanide compounds also increase the selectivity by diminishing the undesired hydrodebromination process. © 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
