Abstract

The scattering of energetic carriers generated by the absorption of short wavelength light (2500-7000 Å) is examined. Such carriers may undergo one or more scattering events before reaching the band edge. Thus they are able to surmount significant potential barriers and to contribute to the majority carrier current in MS and MIS solar cells. © 1985.
