Allergenic extracts intended for the treatment of type I allergies by specific immunotherapy are complex mixtures of molecules, obtained from biological materials known to exhibit some variability. Today, multiple methods are available for extensive characterization of allergenic extracts and documentation of their consistency. © 2011 Elsevier Masson SAS.
